This installation is an exploratory journey to encounter and assemble a narrative that is situated in-between a fictional reality and the reality of the library, whereby an active role of the viewer to gather information is encouraged in the form of game play.
Instigated by the experience of watching a film where one is being situated in a psychical space in-between an external reality and the reality presented to one in a film, this installation attempts to create such displacement by inserting and dispersing the ‘story’ of Singapore film within the library for the viewers to piece up actively and incidentally.
This journey is formed based on 4 film genres in the form of 4 installations, taking corners of the library as locations. Different daily artifacts that are scattered at strategic places to narrate and induce the progression of the journey.
